NextStep-‘Sustainable Better Health’

The NextStep-‘Sustainable Better Health’ project is a no cost, 14 week pilot program which involves two online behaviour change based programs. These programs are ‘Healthy Eating Every Day’ (HEED) and ‘Active Living Every Day’ (ALED). NextStep will target 45-55 year old people who are inactive, unhealthy and overweight and/or at risk of a chronic disease.

Some general information on the ‘NextStep’ project is available. The NextStep brochure (1MB PDF) is available and if you answer yes to any of the questions, take the brochure and the referral form to your local doctor and ask for the 45-49 year old health check (if applicable) but is not mandatory. The doctor will then need to fill out the referral form and fax it back to Active Ageing Australia on (08) 823209020. For further information on the project contact Active Ageing Australia on (08) 8232 9077.

The project is open to the general public in South Australia only, and is funded through the Healthy Active Australia grants at the Department of Health and Ageing.
